The Embassy of Colombia in Indonesia and Gran Meliá Jakarta proudly presents Semana Gastronomica Colombiana, Colombian Gastronomy Week that will be held at Café Gran Via from 27th May to 2nd June 2013.
Colombian cuisine is very diverse and varies depending on the different regions of Colombia. Have a taste of authentic Colombian cuisine, ranging from Bandeja Paisa (Country Platter), the national dish, to Envuelto de Mazorca (Corn Parcels), Arepa Rellena (Stuffed Corn Cakes) and Colombian Empanadas (Stuffed Pastry).
Chef Nicolas Montoya from Colombia who serves as the Executive Chef at The Colombian Embassy in Jakarta will lead the culinary team to share the best of Colombian delicacies at Café Gran Via and cultivate a love for Colombian cuisine in every guest’s hearts.
All the dishes will be served at Café Gram Via with international buffet ranging from European to Chinese, Japanese, and Indian dishes. Choices of special beverages and various dining offers are also available daily, round-the-clock at Café Gran Via, located on the second floor. Gran Meliá Jakarta is delighted to have Chef Montoya to guide Children’s cooking class on Sunday, 2nd June 2013 at La Terraza, located on the ground floor of Gran Melia Jakarta to share the exotic yet familiar taste of these South American cuisines to children from 7 to 17 years old.
