Festivities begin on 19 December 2018 with a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony from 6.30pm – 8.30pm in the Alila Solo Lobby, with carol singing by children from a local orphanage that the hotel supports. The towering three-metre-high Christmas tree is no ordinary tree though. It has been specially crafted from recycled batik, a reflection of Solo’s rich batik history and Alila’s commitment to sustainability.
A Season to Savour
Spending the holidays with that special someone? Enjoy an intimate Dine With the Stars five-course dinner for two at Largo, Agra or in-room, with wine and a candlelight setup to add romance to the festive mood.
Épice Restaurant keeps the festive indulgences flowing. Take a seat at the Festive Chef’s Table for a mouthwatering three-course degustation menu prepared for you personally by our Executive Chef. Savour A Taste of the Mediterranean, a delectable dining experience showcasing the richness and diversity of Mediterranean cuisine.
On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Épice offers the magic of an Enchanted Forest Christmas, featuring a magnificent buffet of local and international cuisine and decadent desserts in an enchanted forest setting. Enjoy the music of a local children’s choir and a live band performing Christmas hits, magicians and clowns to entertain the kids, and a guest appearance by Santa. Rise and shine on Christmas morning for a sumptuous buffet Christmas Breakfast. Santa will be dropping by again to surprise the little ones with gifts, and will be happy to join you for a family photo.

Agra’s perch on Level 29 and nightly offering of live band and DJ music make it the perfect place for a Christmas chill-out. Make your celebrations merry with Agra’s festive tipples, created by our resident mixologists, featuring herbs from our organic Sky Garden, available every Friday to Sunday during the festive season. Enjoy Agra’s Solo Sunset Sessions, unwinding with a free flow of wine while enjoying the last spectacular sunsets of 2018.
Two New Year’s Eve Parties – Masquerade and Gatsby
Get ready for Masquerade, Solo’s party of the year! Dress to impress, slip on your mask and join us in the Grand Ballroom for an evening of culinary indulgence, glamorous entertainment and a gala theatrical concert, guest starring Maria Idol and directed by Eka Nusa Theatre. Masquerade masks will be provided. IDR 650,000 nett or approximately USD45 per person.
Not to be outdone, Agra invites you to step back in time to the roaring 1920s as black, silver and gold set the scene for its Gatsby-themed New Year’s Eve celebration. Get dressed up for a glamorous night of entertainment and an eclectic mix of music to keep you dancing well into the dawn of 2019. IDR 250,000 nett or approximately USD17 per person.
Holiday Play & Spa Relaxation
PLAY Alila, Alila Solo’s Kids Club, will be hosting a special festive programme of daily activities, from water games and arts & crafts to gardening and movie time. Little ones can also discover the fun of baking with our Pastry Chef in a Junior Pastry Class at Épice Restaurant, making and decorating cupcakes and gingerbread characters. They’ll leave with a Junior Baker Certificate and their freshly baked goodies, if they’ve not already been devoured! IDR 150,000 nett per child.
Spa Alila’s festive offering will have you looking relaxed and radiant. Indulge in an Anti-Oxidant Spa Treatment using Alila Living products tailored to your needs.
