The outstanding menu at VONG Kitchen is getting a classy makeover courtesy of chef Cédric Vongerichten
French-American restaurant VONG Kitchen’s star is rising more rapidly than eversince it began operating last year and is showing no signs of slowing down. Its success owes a lot to its phenomenally talented executive chef Cédric Vongerichten, who, together with his Michelin-starred chef father Jean-Georges, has utilized his incredible talents and immense know-how to showcase his passion for Asian and Indonesian cuisines and spices.
Fresh from the opening of his new French-Indonesian restaurant Wayan in New York City, chef Cédric made his return to these shores for a good two weeks or so. One of his main missions while in Jakarta was to flex his creative muscles and bring about a fresh revamp to the sophisticated establishment’s menu together with chefde cuisine Luisa Caicedo and their kitchen team.
Lo and behold, from July 9th onwards, a number of brand-new mouth-watering dishes will be making their debuts, including the Mango Salad with House-Made Ricotta, Chili Oil, Red Onion, the Nicoise Salad with Cherry Tomato, Quail Egg, Oliver, Ginger Sesame Dressing, and the Clam Pizza with Lombok Clams, Broccolini, Lemon, Garlic Oil. In a pleasantly surprising twist, some of the restaurant’s favorites such as the Roasted Duck Dry Aged In-House with Creamed Corn, Mushroom, Chipotle-Shallot Puree and the Foie Gras Brûlée with Pineapple Jam, Roses will be inventively refined by the master of culinary innovation himself in order to provide a superior experience for guests.
With chef Cédric at the helm, it’s safe to say that VONG Kitchen will never cease toamaze Jakartans with new and exciting developments for years to come.
