Belmond La Residencia and Belmond Jimbaran Puri Individually Recognised
Belmond Ltd., part of the world’s leading luxury group LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, is honored to have been voted #11 among the Top 25 Hotel Brands in the World by the readers of Travel + Leisure. Now in its 25th year, the magazine’s annual World’s Best Awards are decided by surveying hundreds of thousands of discerning readers, with the best brands scoring highest for sterling service, destination-driven experiences, architecture and décor that combine to create a “deep sense of place.”
Belmond has consistently ranked among Travel + Leisure’s Top Brands in the World for the past quarter- century. In 2020, Belmond secured two spots on the Top 100 Hotels in the World – Belmond La Residencia in Mallorca, Spain and Belmond Jimbaran Puri in Bali, which climbed to #23 with Belmond Jimbaran Puri resort also further listed in the regional categories.
Earlier this year, Belmond announced its strategic commitment to expand its presence in Asia Pacific and confirmed the appointment of Iain Langridge as Divisional Managing Director for this all-important region. “As we turn our focus ever-more intently on the discerning luxury travel market across Asia Pacific, we are delighted to have been recognised by the readers of Travel + Leisure for our stand-out offering in Bali. Belmond Jimbaran Puri is one of four heritage-rich Belmond hotels in the region that reopened earlier this month, with our iconic Eastern and Oriental Express train ready to resume operations in due course. Each promises to deliver a genuine and incomparable experience and we are so pleased to be able to start welcoming our guests back,” Langridge commented.
Alongside its world-ranking, Belmond Jimbaran Puri in Bali placed #6 in the Top 15 Resort Hotels in Asia and #3 in the Top 5 Resort Hotels in Indonesia category. Located in Jimbaran, the resort offers a sense of peace and privacy adjacent to Bali’s best beach with one reader voter commenting that the island resort is the perfect place for a honeymoon. Hemmed by lush green jungle and lulled by the lap of Indian Ocean waves, the resort is designed to resemble a traditional Balinese village featuring separate villas with generous outdoor space.
The resort also offers a multitude of unique and authentic experiences for guests to enjoy from unforgettable tropical spa experiences to a memorable dining experience at Nelayan beachside restaurant where guests may take in spectacular sunsets and live music every night.
Belmond Napasai in Koh Samui, Belmond Governor’s Residence in Yangon, and Belmond La Residence Phou Vao in Luang Prabang reopened on July 1, 2020 offering Belmond’s signature style of hospitality in inspiring locations. Visit Belmond.com for more information.
