Journey Through Java with Aman

Partnering with the Kereta Api Wisata, Aman Indonesia has introduced a new train itinerary: Journey Through Java with Aman. Transporting guests across Java, the once-in-a-lifetime experience begins in Jakarta Gambir station, where the bustle of the vibrant city soon becomes a distant memory.
After a warm Javanese welcome into the station’s exclusive lounge, guests embark on a panoramic seven-hour journey through Central Java where temples turn to tree-lined hillsides. With a new story appearing around every corner, guests will enjoy an exquisite Aman breakfast and lunch served on board, surrounded by the opulence of one’s private carriage.
On arrival into Yogyakarta, guests will experience three-nights at Amanjiwo, fully immersing themselves in the resort’s sacred roots. Just two-kilometres away, the temple of Borobudur – a 9th-century marvel with 504 life-size Buddha statues – reveals ancient secrets, while trekking through the lush surrounding landscapes to local villages.
Throughout their time at Amanjiwo, each guest will receive daily breakfast and one special Amanjiwo experience. Restorative Sleep Retreat at Amangiri

Misogi Retreat at Aman Tokyo

Train the body and mind, purify the spirit and find your own satori (awakening) in the three-night/four-day Misogi Retreat at Aman Tokyo. Combining bodywork, nutrition, mindfulness and meditative practices this retreat provides guests with a deep inner transformation, and supports overall wellbeing for a longer, healthier life.
To train the mind, guests will take part in daily yoga and breathing exercises and Tao meditation and mindfulness training to gain stronger control over the emotions.
Additional lessons are available, including Koudo: a traditional Zen practice that uses incense to help tune into the senses, the human spirit and nature; Shakyo, a Sutra hand-writing meditative practice; traditional Japanese mindfulness lessons in flower arranging, Batto practice, calligraphy and a Japanese tea ceremony at the Dojo (traditional Japanese practice studio).
Guests will receive advice on how to bolster the immune system with a Traditional Chinese Medicine consultation and Acupuncture sessions in order to train the body. Throughout the retreat guests will also be encouraged to use the hydro-facility in the extensive Aman Spa – the largest hotel spa in the city – to soak in a warm Japanese bath, which lowers the blood sugar and flushes out toxins.
Paired with cold shower bursts to improve circulation, increasing the heart rate and stimulating the production of noradrenaline and beta-endorphins, this practice also helps to strengthen the mind.

Once ordered, the gift card is sent by post or via email to the purchaser or directly to the gift recipient, alongside a personal message. The guest is then able to present their gift card, to be redeemed at all properties outside of China, for deduction from their bill at the end of their stay.
