New for 2021, Aman Venice is offering guests the opportunity to experience the newly formed Coccina’s Apartment, named after a family of affluent traders and seafarers who moved to Venice from Bergamo in the mid-16th century. The Coccina family built the Palazzo, which was designed by architect Giangiacomo Dei Grigi, a follower of Sansovino, in 1550.
Situated on the fourth floor of the Palazzo and accessed by a private elevator, the Coccina’s Apartment features three free-standing bedrooms covering a total of 290 sq-m (3122 sq-ft), all with en-suite bathrooms, king-size beds, a private living room and unparalleled views over the serene Grand Canal and the Canal Garden.
The timeless design and décor of the apartment includes works by several of Italy’s greatest artists including frescoes and reliefs, reflecting the rich history behind Venice’s evolving artwork and architecture.
Contemporary furnishings complement authentic silk wall coverings, chandeliers, wood paneling, chinoiserie and painted ceilings, allowing guests to fall further into the opulence of Venetian design.
