Housed in one of the city’s eight monumental palazzos on the Grand Canal, Aman Venice embodies all that is sumptuous and sensuous about La Serenissima. Inside the hotel, Rococo works of art are offset by the contemporary restraint of Jean-Michel Gathy interiors, while two private gardens – a rarity in this floating city – are overlooked by opulent dining venues and spacious suites.
New for 2021, Aman Venice is offering guests the opportunity to experience the newly formed Coccina’s Apartment, named after a family of affluent traders and seafarers who moved to Venice from Bergamo in the mid-16th century. The Coccina family built the Palazzo, which was designed by architect Giangiacomo Dei Grigi, a follower of Sansovino, in 1550.
Situated on the fourth floor of the Palazzo and accessed by a private elevator, the Coccina’s Apartment features three free-standing bedrooms covering a total of 290 sq-m (3122 sq-ft), all with en-suite bathrooms, king-size beds, a private living room and unparalleled views over the serene Grand Canal and the Canal Garden.
The timeless design and décor of the apartment includes works by several of Italy’s greatest artists including frescoes and reliefs, reflecting the rich history behind Venice’s evolving artwork and architecture.
Contemporary furnishings complement authentic silk wall coverings, chandeliers, wood paneling, chinoiserie and painted ceilings, allowing guests to fall further into the opulence of Venetian design.
Created using three existing Aman Venice Suites – the Papadopoli Stanza Grande Canal, the Palazzo Stanza Canal Grande and the Palazzo Chamber Affresco – with the addition of the Chapel Lounge which becomes a private living room, the apartment is perfect for families or close friends wanting a private piece of the city.
Boasting a high ceiling and authentic decorative frescoes, the Papadopoli Stanza Canal Grande is a private sanctuary that frames magnificent views of the hotel’s Garden Terrace and the Grand Canal. The room offers a spacious combined living area with a fireplace and a bedroom with a king-sized bed for a restful night’s sleep, while through tall wooden doors, an expansive light-flooded bathroom with a deep-soaking bathtub makes the most of the postcard vistas.
Also offering exceptional views of the Grand Canal and Garden Terrace, Aman Venice’s Palazzo Stanza Canal Grande is elegant yet contemporary in its design. The room features sumptuous king-sized beds, a living area with a writing desk, and large windows, allowing unmatched views and create a vast sense of space.
Aman Venice’s refined Palazzo Chamber Affresco contains features views over the hotel’s manicured gardens below. Perfect for those seeking a tranquil space to retreat after a day spent exploring the city; an inviting king-sized bed and living area with a sofa or twin lounge chairs complete the space, while a large bathroom with a freestanding bathtub and twin-vanities create a peaceful place to reset in consummate privacy.
Ideal for large families or groups of friends, the Coccina’s Apartment is an idyllic base for those looking to rediscover the Floating City, with unrestricted access to all hotel facilities and amenities, as well as a personal host to assist with any requests, making a stay at Aman Venice all the more special.
