Bon Appétit! The Yeast Group Brings Authentic Flavours of France to Sunway City Kuala Lumpur

A brand-new Yeast Boulangerie-Bistro opened its third outlet at Sunway Pyramid Hotel recently, offering an amazing array of artisan Parisian cuisine, including freshly-baked breads, pastries and authentic bistro-style dishes 

Sunway City Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s premier entertainment and event destination, is inviting its guests to discover the authentic taste of French cuisine and freshly-baked breads and pastries at Yeast Boulangerie-Bistro, an all-new dual-concept bakery and restaurant. Opening its doors at Sunway Pyramid Hotel, Yeast Boulangerie-Bistro will bring artisan dining from the vibrant streets of Paris straight into the lobby of the popular four-star hotel within Sunway City Kuala Lumpur.

The hotel’s business and leisure guests plus visitors can now appreciate the convenience of the grab takeaway snacks made to-order, or settle down with colleagues, family or friends in the lively café-style atmosphere.

This partnership with Yeast Group follows the announcement that Gordon Ramsay Restaurants will soon open the Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill, its first Malaysian outlet, at the transformed Sunway Resort. 

Yeast Boulangerie-Bistro at Sunway Pyramid Hotel will open daily from 8am to 10pm with an eclectic selection of culinary options throughout the day. Guests can kick-start their morning with a wide selection of hot and cold breakfasts, ranging from French specialties such as Oeufs Provençale (baked eggs with ratatouille), Steak & Eggs and Classic French Omelettes, to bowls of healthy granola and baskets of warm, crusty bread. For a light daytime bite, Yeast Boulangerie-Bistro will serve signature handmade croissants, salads and sandwiches, including Le Paris Province baguette with cold cuts and cheese, or the famous Le Croque Monsieur or Madame. 

Diners seeking a more complete meal can choose from a range of bistro-style dishes. Exquisite appetisers such as French Onion Soup, Escargots à la Bourguignonne (baked snails with garlic & parsley butter), and even a luxurious Caviar Set with blinis and traditional garnish, can be followed by mouth-watering main courses like Confit de Canard (crispy duck leg with caramelised onions & greens), Le Steak Frites (grilled Black Angus striploin steak with fries & salad), and Boeuf Bourguignon (red wine braised beef cheeks with celeriac purée), along with a range of Le Gourmet Burgers and sublime seafood. 

No French meal is complete without dessert and Yeast Boulangerie-Bistro promises a choice of sumptuous sweet treats including Tarte Tatin (baked caramelised apple tart with ice cream), Warm Valrhona Chocolate Fondant, and of course, a Plateau de Fromages (cheese platter). 

These Parisian favourites can be accompanied by a long list of beverages, from freshly-squeezed juices, iced teas and mocktails to bottled beers, French wines and, of course, Champagne! A partnership with Caffè Vergnano 1882 also lets guests savour the rich flavour and aroma of premium coffee. 

Yeast Boulangerie-Bistro at Sunway Pyramid Hotel will become the third Malaysian location for the Yeast Group, which has proudly brought French cuisine to Malaysian consumers since 2012. The company’s Executive Chef & Managing Partner, Frank Denis Ruidavet, has 35 years of experience in five-star hotels and high-end restaurants all around the globe, from Paris, London and New York to the Maldives, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. He has worked alongside some of the world’s most celebrated chefs, including Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Jean Francois Issauthier.
