Starting the new year on a strong note, Citi Indonesia has been named as Best Bank Global in Indonesia and Best Corporate and Institutional Adviser-Global in Indonesia by The Asset Magazine. The achievement marks the twentieth time in a row that Citi Indonesia has won the Best Bank Global award.
Commenting on the wins, Citi Indonesia Chief Executive Officer Batara Sianturi said, “As with most other businesses, Citi Indonesia has been striving to get back to our pre-pandemic condition. These awards are great validations of our hard work, especially coming from a prestigious publication such as The Asset.
Among other notable achievements that helped Citi Indonesia to earn the two awards, the bank’s Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory (BCMA) group recorded an earnings growth of 14% during the year-to-Q3 2021 period, when compared to the same period in the previous year.
The Local Corporates, Public Sector Group and Financial Institutions Group continued to support both major deals and transactions in various sectors, including corporate actions, syndicated loans, and the capital markets.
Meanwhile, the Global Subsidiaries Group, that have multinationals as clients, also provided positive contribution, particularly from treasury, trade financing / services and loan businesses.
Now in its 23rd year, The Asset Triple A Country Awards represents the industry’s most prestigious awards for banking, finance, treasury, and the capital markets. Evaluation and judging were conducted by The Asset’s editorial team by using its Benchmark Surveys and follow-up interviews with the industry’s Board of Directors.
