“The Indonesian arrivals via the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) since it was launched on 29 November 2021, have been encouraging, indicating the pent up demand and desire to visit Singapore again. With the enhanced safety measures which have become the new standard for tourist travel, we look forward to welcoming more for Indonesians as they plan their travel to Singapore this year”.
To build anticipation for future travel of young professionals who have higher pent-up desire to travel in the very near future, STB Indonesia launched a SingapoReimagine campaign on TikTok, collaborating with selected content creators in Indonesia and invites travellers to virtually experience Singapore’s newest and iconic world-class destinations through a branded effect.
Partnering ARTOTELGroup, STB Indonesia presented five exclusive and one-of-a-kind Singapore-themed hotel rooms at ARTOTEL Jakarta-Thamrin, in order to entrench Singapore as an exciting travel destination in the minds of Indonesians and encourage them to reimagine travel to Singapore.
This partnership commenced from 28th January 2022 and will run through a period of three months.
STB Indonesia also engaged Singapore-based Indonesian celebrities like Denada Tambunan, Sarah Sechan and Marissa Nasution to create new content to highlight Singapore’s refreshed offerings. Each of the videos spotlight new, unknown, unexpected or transformed attractions, dining as well as wellness-focused experiencesin Singapore. Ramping up our focus on urban wellness and sustainability
We are heartened to see more tourism businesses adopt sustainable practices, in line with Singapore’s aspiration to be a top sustainable and innovative urban destination.
In 2021, STB became a member of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), while Resorts World Sentosa became the first tourism business in Southeast Asia to secure GSTC Destination Criteria and Industry Criteria for Hotels certification. Mandai Wildlife Group also introduced its Mandai Environmental Sustainability Strategy and green procurement roadmap.
