Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival 2022
The Hermitage, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Jakarta offers special mooncake hampers in collaboration with renowned batik designer Amanda Hartanto. There are two packages on offer for the hotel’s first Mid-Autumn Festival hampers: the Regular and Premium, available from 5 August 2022 to 15 September 2022 at the prices of IDR 488.000++ and IDR 988.000++, respectively.
Amanda Hartanto’s works often blend modern influence with traditional batik patterns that revolutionize batik into something suitable for traditional and everyday wear. In 2011, she established her label, Amanda Hartanto Batik, where she designs ready-to-wear batik with young, chic, and sophisticated themes.
For this bespoke collaboration project, Amanda showcases her forte of combining traditional batik patterns with a modern touch. She draws inspiration from the signature patterns in Batik Keraton and Batik Pesisir. And through her beautiful creativity, she blends the Kawung and Buketan patterns with the hotel’s signature modern-classic design and is finished with a dash of oriental touch to pay homage to the Chinese festival.
“It is important to showcase Indonesia’s precious heritage in this design. I also wanted to highlight the hotel’s rich colonial history and modern-classic design,” says the designer and philanthropist.
Mid-Autumn Festival is about the celebration of togetherness where families and friends gather and dine under the full moon. The tradition usually involves eating mooncakes to celebrate the moment and look forward to another year.
The regular hamper consists of two mooncakes with the flavors of Pandan with Salted Yolk and Lotus. While the Premium one is filled with four mooncakes with the flavors of Black Bean Tausa with Salted Egg Yolk, Pandan with Salted Egg Yolk, Durian, and Lotus. Each mooncake is passionately crafted by hand, steeped in tradition but with a modern luxurious twist.
