With Bill Bensley’s exclusive weekend workshop at InterContinental Danang
The acclaimed architect and interior designer will lead a small-group event from 14-16 April 2023, including a sketching trip to Hoi An, live drawing class and memorable dining experiences
InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, the five-star resort nestled in 39 hectares of nature on Vietnam’s Son Tra Peninsula, is offering guests the chance to uncover their artistic talent with an exclusive weekend workshop led by Bill Bensley, the highly- acclaimed architect and interior designer.
Hosted from 14-16 April 2023, “Discover Your Inner Artist” will be a lively, interactive event that combines small group talks, art classes and dining experiences all led by Bill, who has crafted some of the world’s most incredible hotels and resorts – including InterContinental Danang.
As a self-taught artist, Bill considers himself an “outsider” in the world of art. But this also gives him a unique ability to help unlock the talent of others. In this immersive three-day weekend, budding artists will be able to chat with Bill and learn what inspires him, while also exploring diverse mediums such as watercolours, pastels, charcoal and more.

The experience commences on Friday 14th April with a cocktail reception at the Bensley Outsider Gallery, allowing Bill and all the participants to meet and get to know each other. Following a talk, Q&A session and an initial beginner’s lesson, guests will be able to share an evening meal at Barefoot, the resort’s beachfront restaurant.
A Champagne breakfast on Saturday 15th April will be followed by a trip to Hoi An, where the artists will have the unique opportunity to sketch and paint this charming UNESCO World Heritage-listed town, with its cobbled streets and elegant buildings, guided by Bill.
Back at the resort, a live model class will highlight the technique of charcoal drawing. Guest will then be able to reflect on their unforgettable day over evening drink.
Sunday 16th April will be a “Day of Colour” with a Champagne breakfast followed by a morning watercolour painting class at the resort’s new signature pool villa, which demonstrates Bill’s vibrant interior design concept as well as panoramic views of the mountains and sea.
A Chef’s Table lunch will be hosted at La Maison 1888, the celebrated restaurant which is set in a colonial Indochine-style mansion and serves award-winning French cuisine, before a final art session with Bill at his gallery and the chance to say farewell.
