With over a decade of experience in Food and Beverage management, Jonathan Byrne brings his expertise to Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach and their eight dining venues.
Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Byrne as its new Director of Food and Beverage. In this role, Jonathan will oversee the Food and Beverage and Culinary Department daily, leveraging his proficiency in overseeing the day-to-day operations and maximizing customer experience.
He will assume responsibility for maximizing the financial and operational aspects of the outlet while ensuring close communication with the marketing departments to coordinate promotional activities and events.
Under his supervision, the outlet’s commercial activities will undergo a rebranding process. SugarSand, which features a Japanese contemporary menu infused with Balinese ingredients, has recently been refreshed. In addition to this, Makase, the hotel’s all-day dining venue, is undergoing a revamp to offer a wider Southeast Asian Street food market eatery concept.
According to Jonathan Byrne, showcasing Indonesia’s local cuisines and rich culture is crucial for hotels in the country. He believes that people travel extensively to experience local traditions in a luxurious setting, as locality truly provides insight into the essence of the local people.
In 2016, Jonathan commenced his journey with Marriott International, The Westin Dubai & Le Meridien, Mina Seyahi, starting as a Food and Beverage Operations Manager. Through his dedication and outstanding performance, he progressed from Food & Beverage Manager to Assistant Director of Food & Beverage.
In 2021, Jonathan ultimately assumed the Operations Manager of Food & Beverage position at Marriott International, W Dubai – The Palm. In this capacity, he spearheaded the implementation of various promotional activations and sales strategies, successfully driving business levels to new heights.
With over ten years of food and beverage management experience and many awards and accolades, Jonathan brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to his new position.
To Jonathan, Bali is not a foreign place. Before moving to Bali, he visited the island twice. Now working in the Seminyak area, Jonathan believes that local cuisines and rich culture greatly impact the hotel’s food and beverage offerings. He believes that that is the reason why people travel far and wide to experience the local traditions in a luxury setting.
