The Mrs Sippy Seafood Market is a Seminyak-based Take on the Balinese Favourite
There are plenty of reasons to visit Seminyak favourite Mrs Sippy. The vibrant pool club is one of Bali’s favourite places to spend the day (or night) thanks to its winning combination of creative cocktails, Mediterranean fare, and hours of entertainment for all ages. Now there’s even more reason to visit the all-day haunt, with Mrs Sippy Seafood Market arriving this August.
An ode on the traditional Jimbaran style grill, Mrs Sippy Seafood Market is a celebration of all things coastal cuisine. But instead of making the trek to the shores of Jimbaran, you can enjoy this Balinese favourite from the comfort of central Seminyak, for a very affordable price.
Thrown onto the Jimbaran-style barbecue are the likes of whole red snapper and whole barramundi. There’s baby octopus, clams, crabs, prawns and even lobster. Joined (as is tradition) by three different types of spicy sambal and sides like sauteed beans and cauliflower. Not forgetting the all-important fries, and the more traditional red or white rice and even rice cake.
If you crave a classic poolside bite, you can have that too. A series of seafood-focused dishes will be served alongside the barbecue. Think of tiger prawns with chimichurri dressing, salt & pepper calamari with jalapeno aioli and Baja fish tacos. There’s even a hearty snapper burger if you’re starving.
Wash them down with a drink from Mrs Sippy’s colourful list of cocktails, which range from classics like espresso martini or their signatures like Watermelon Mule and Cucumber Fizz, to jugs of spritz and pina colada, also series of slushies, Sippy froze included.
