dr. Nat explained, “Having the desire to treat and get yourself some aesthetic services is a good thing in my opinion, as long as the motivation and conditions are adequate, such as seeking solutions for the facial area to get an improvement, so it can be better. Your beauty, your choice.”
“Here lies the role of the ’aesthetic eye’ and doctors in Aesthetic Science. A successful therapy or treatment for a doctor is to be a good listener, that alone already covers 60% of the diagnosis, to know in detail the problem at hand. Usually, the problem is related to a less-than-healthy lifestyle, for example, acne due to the consumption of oily or fatty foods. Well, the next step is for us to educate the patient. If medicinal products are involved then we explain their contents, their functions, and how to consume them.”
“After that, follow it up with home care, as we want to avoid substance dependency. Also, the things we recommend and advise against should be followed up periodically so that the case does not repeat itself. For example acne breakout or in the case of liposuction after a successful suction, we have to be able to stay on the diet.”
“Also, keep in mind that there would be some cases where I would not support a patient who may desire excessive or obsessive treatment and therapy. Because it would not be mentally good. Regarding this matter, I usually try to communicate it. It’s also a part of the education process.”
Meanwhile, during the discussion at NMW Clinic’s 25th Anniversary, renowned singer and actress, Dewi Gita shared her similar view regarding the importance of building mutual awareness and empowering individuals to embrace their authentic identities, free from the pressure of society’s beauty standards.
Dewi believes that connecting a positive self-view with comprehensive skincare and improved mental health will result in self-synergy beneficial in building your career and social life.
“I used to have a kind of beauty anxiety, especially after giving birth and raising children in the early stages. It is definitely a positive self-image that can change our view of ourselves for the better. The key is to be grateful and to take care of the beauty we have.”
“Upon having to listen to what my friends had to say, I began my aesthetic treatments at the clinic, it made me feel more confident and comfortable. Since 2013 I have been getting my aesthetic services from dr. Nat and NMW Clinic,” concluded Dewi Gita.
