In July 2023, Karma Group is also set to open Karma La Herriza, a stunning new property in Gaucin, Spain, while investing extensively in complete refurbishments of existing properties across Indonesia, Thailand and India. Further acquisitions are also under development in Australia, India, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Japan.
In 2021 a series of new offerings were introduced, including a private member’s club with a difference, Karma Club, and the establishment of a brand new bespoke service for existing Karma Group members in Karma Concierge.
Karma Group is additionally involved in the world of fine wines and spirits. Since 2016, John Spence has been collaborating with leading winemakers across the world to produce bottles that have formed the Karma Wines offering, from Tuscany to Bordeaux to Crete, including a recently released Rosé from France’s Carcassonne, home to Karma Chateau de Samary.
Karma Group also worked with HRH the Prince of Wales Trust and the British Asian Trust to alleviate the Covid19 crisis in India, providing much need oxygen equipment to those most in need, as well as supporting Operation Recuperation, a UK initiative focusing on supporting front-line healthcare providers recover from the fight against Covid-19.
Ongoing projects include the sponsorship and support of Bangalore non-profit Christel House India – a project Karma Group has supported for nearly thirty years. In October 2022, John Spence was appointed a member of the Christel House Board of Trustees for Europe so he can help guide the strategic development of the NGO and continue to support and inspire its students to excel in their education and career.
Karma Group is also a long standing supporter of the Bali Life Foundation for disadvantaged children, and Vietnam’s Children’s Hope In Action (CHIA), alongside involvement in ongoing scholarships and fundraisers annually.
