Regent Phu Quoc presents a Four Hands Dinner with Italian Culinary Master Matteo Ponti & Vietnam’s Acclaimed Chef Daniel Huynh this October
For a limited period of two days, from 13 to 14 October 2023, Regent Phu Quoc will be hosting the highly-acclaimed Chef de Cuisine Matteo Ponti from Braci, a renowned Michelin star Italian restaurant that has been making waves in Singapore’s dining scene.
Collaborating with Regent Phu Quoc’s own Chef de Cuisine, Daniel Huynh, these culinary experts will curate an exclusive series of Mediterranean dinners that promise to be a sensory delight.
Chef Matteo, whose culinary journey began at the Michelin-starred Caffè Groppi at the young age of 15, has established himself as one of the most exciting chefs in Singapore. After successfully earning a Michelin star for 28 Wilkie in 2021, he has now embarked on a new adventure at Braci.
Looking ahead to October, Chef Matteo Ponti eagerly anticipates showcasing his creativity and daring flavors at Regent Phu Quoc.
Collaborating with Chef Daniel, they will merge their cooking techniques in an exclusive two-night event at Ocean Club restaurant. Expressing his excitement, Chef Matteo shared, “Phu Quoc is a new destination in my portfolio, and I am eager to explore all the flavors that this island is known for”.
The seven courses degustation menu commences as Chef Matteo and Chef Daniel present a hand- baked Focaccina, a cool Carpaccio of locally-sourced Phu Quoc mantis shrimp with tram mushrooms, Phu Quoc pepper & wild scampi caviar to name a few. Guests can expect dishes in which the chefs’ creative vision will pay homage to their ingredient’s natural characteristics.
Nestled along the pristine shores of Phu Quoc’s Long Beach, where mesmerizing views and crystal-clear waters create a picture-perfect backdrop, Ocean Club emerges as a relaxed beachfront venue with a Balearic-inspired atmosphere, offering a delectable array of Mediterranean cuisine and rum-infused cocktails.
