The BNI Java Jazz Festival 2024 is back, more vibrant than ever. Held from May 24th to May 26th, this annual music festival will feature 11 stages with hundreds of renowned musicians, both local and international.
Still hosted at JIExpo Kemayoran in Jakarta, this largest jazz festival in Asia once again welcomes music lovers from Indonesia and around the world. This annual event, showcasing various international and national musicians, solidifies the BNI Java Jazz Festival as one of the key barometers of music in the country, especially for jazz and jazzy pop enthusiasts.
Dewi Gontha, President Director of PT Java Festival Production, stated that after organizing this music event annually, the BNI Java Jazz Festival 2024 continues to grow more mature and adapt to the times. According to Dewi, reaching 19 years of the festival’s existence is no easy feat. “This festival can consistently fill the music spaces thanks to the creative work of various parties,” she said.
Day One: Ruth Sahanaya Kicks Off the Celebration
Senior singer Ruth Sahanaya is one of the performers opening the first day of the BNI Java Jazz Festival 2024. Before she took the stage, the audience flocked to fill the BNI Hall area. Interestingly, the moment was dominated by adult viewers, although the younger generation also eagerly watched Ruth Sahanaya’s performance.
This legendary singer performed alongside Andien, Teddy Adhitya, and Teza Sumendra, creating a captivating collaboration for the audience, including several foreign attendees who enjoyed her music.
