To facilitate business discussions, the “Thailand Industrial Business Matching” event holds face-to-face meetings between Thai entrepreneurs, especially from the electronics and household appliance sectors, and their counterparts from Indonesia. Approximately 20 Thai business representatives are expected to participate in the event.
The Thai participants include R.J. London Chemicals Industries CO., LTD., Chaturong Cooling Limited Partnership, P.S.P. Specialties PCL, dan TN Group Corporation CO., LTD.
Support for this event also comes from various Indonesian industry associations, including the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), the Small and Medium Automotive Component Industry Association (PIKKO) Indonesia, and the Indonesian Electronic and Household Appliance Association (GABEL).
Thailand’s manufacturing sector is diverse, with several industries dominating the export market. Some sectors involved in this event include the electronics, construction, and household appliance industries, including air conditioning, refrigeration machines, and automotive.
Potential of the Electronics and Air Conditioning Industry in Thailand. Thailand’s expertise in electrical and electronic equipment (E&E) manufacturing is commendable, accounting for up to 24% of the country’s total exports. This sector not only contributes significantly to the GDP, reaching 10.4% but also employs around 800,000 people through approximately 2,500 active companies.
The range of products manufactured includes washing machines, air conditioners, computers, semiconductors, and display panels, highlighting the industry’s diversity and technological advancements.
Special attention to Thailand’s rapidly growing air conditioning market is projected to experience rapid growth with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.93%, reaching USD 1,645.21 million by 2023, and expected to continue its upward trend until 2029. In recent years, the Thai AC sector has witnessed significant expansion and innovation.
Demand for air conditioning and cooling equipment in Thailand mainly comes from the housing sector, while also influenced by the commercial and industrial sectors, including hotels, shopping centers, and manufacturing facilities.
Promising Automotive Sector. As a leading exporter in ASEAN, Thailand stands tall as a hub for automotive production and automotive component manufacturing. 10% of the country’s GDP comes from this sector, making Thailand the 12th largest vehicle exporter in the world.
