Twice the fun and the flavours by celebrated UK twin Chefs, Tom and Rob Aikens
The Langham, Jakarta, is delighted to announce the return of acclaimed British Michelin-starred chef Tom Aikens for unforgettable culinary experiences at TOM’S by Tom Aikens. The twin chefs will have a collaborative showcase of exquisite British-European delicacies for lunch and dinner from 6th to 9th June 2024. The setting of the restaurant with its views of the Jakarta’s city skyline from the 62nd floor could not be more perfect.
While the Aikens brothers have not collaborated on a major project recently, their shared passion for culinary excellence and innovation promises a truly exceptional dining experience at TOM’S. In anticipation of this event, Tom Aikens shared, “We are truly excited to bring our culinary passion and creativity to Jakarta once again. This collaboration with my brother Rob promises to be a unique and memorable experience for our guests, where every dish tells a story and every moment is cherished.”
The menu will be a dance of flavors, with each course serving as an expression of Chef Tom and Rob Aikens’ culinary essence. Chef Rob currently holds the position of Executive Chef and Partner at various destination restaurants, and is celebrated for his numerous accomplishments in the esteemed culinary landscape of the United States.
This exclusive collaboration between the Aikens brothers will be showcased through a special a la carte lunch menu and a 5-course dinner. Guests can anticipate a diverse array of specially curated menus, crafted by the skilled hands of both chefs, featuring dishes such as Spinach Parmesan and Crispy Bean Salad, Smoked Salmon and Asparagus Soup, Braised Beef Ravioli, and Chateaubriand as the daily Chef’s Special menu throughout June 2024.
As for dinner, each chef aims to impress guests with each of their signature specialties: Salmon Confit with Smoked Beetroot and Grilled A5 Wagyu Sirloin by Chef Rob, and a Green Salad & Peppered Foie Gras and Seared Halibut by Chef Tom. Indulgent desserts add the perfect finishing touch with Marinated Strawberry with Lemon Confit and Merengue. The exquisite 5-course Dinner experience is priced at IDR 1,288,000++ per person.
On Sunday, 9th June, guests can savour the restaurant’s beloved Brunch offerings alongside live DJ entertainment. The Sunday Brunch includes a selection of live cooking stations, delicious sharing style food, an unlimited buffet and a la carte dishes on offer.
Chef Tom will oversee the Pancake Station, offering delights such as Fried Duck Egg & Field Mushroom Ragout, and the Sweet items of Blueberry with Cinnamon Cream. Meanwhile, Chef Rob will be in charge serving mouthwatering savory waffle with toppings of Smoked Salmon, Sour Cream, Dill, and Salmon Caviar, and the Sweet touch of Chocolate with Caramel sauce and Sliced Banana. The Sunday Pop-up Brunch experience is available at IDR 788,000++ per person.
Tom and Rob have also curated an enticing dining experience that offers guests a taste of British culinary influences at the hotel’s five distinguished dining venues. Dubbed “The Vertical Dinner,” the experience commences at ALICE on the hotel’s ground floor. Here, guests can savor French-British influence in the Seared Scallops, Gem Lettuce, and Almond Vinaigrette crafted by Chef Rob.
