Renewal Theme
Through a diverse array of artworks, the “Renewal” theme encourages everyone to explore five aspects of renewal: personal renewal that delves into individual transformation stories, social renewal that stimulates collective change and cultural rejuvenation, environmental renewal that emphasizes sustainability and preservation, artistic renewal that focuses on innovation in art, and technological renewal that introduces new experiences in shaping art perception and aesthetics.
This comprehensive theme invites an exploration of how renewal impacts various facets of life and art.
Aligned with the theme of “Renewal” and principles of environmental sustainability, ArtMoments Jakarta is gradually evolving into an eco-friendly art exhibition. This process involves short-term strategies such as using low-emission materials and long-term plans for sustainable booth designs.
“We also encourage the entire art community to use low-carbon materials and demonstrate significant environmental changes by urging individuals to report emissions, set goals, form green teams, and adhere to commitments for substantial environmental progress.”
“As a manifestation of our commitment to promoting green art fair, we use recycled panels to reduce the use of wood, thereby impacting deforestation. Additionally, we utilize LED lights that can save thousands of watts. Just from these two components alone, we can significantly reduce carbon emissions,” said Sendy.
Aboudia’s First Solo Show in South East Asia, Presented by Ethan Cohen Gallery
ArtMoments Jakarta is delighted to host the first solo exhibition in Southeast Asia by the renowned American-Ivorian artist, Aboudia. This event marks a significant milestone in the global art scene, bringing the works of Abdoulaye Diarrassouba, known as Aboudia, a distinguished contemporary artist based in Brooklyn, New York, and Abidjan, Ivory Coast, to a new audience.
Born on October 21, 1983, in Abidjan, Aboudia is celebrated for his dynamic and expressive paintings that blend street art aesthetics with traditional African art influences.
Aboudia’s work captures the energy and complexity of urban life in Africa through large-scale canvases characterized by bold colors, chaotic lines, and densely packed figures. His raw and rough style resonates with street art, reflecting personal experiences and observations of contemporary African society.
Ethan Cohen Gallery will bring Aboudia to Jakarta for the first time. Ethan Cohen Gallery has represented emerging and internationally renowned artists for over thirty years, many of whom have become household names in the art world.
Known for its innovative approach, the gallery serves artists and clients through global art exhibitions, curatorial projects with prestigious institutions, and influential cultural events.
