Buzo, Creativity and Native Cultures

Buzo draws inspiration from authenticity without being bound by it, embracing adventure as a testing ground to craft unique, one-off experiences. Guided by the creativity of its chefs, the richness of native cultures, and the team’s passion, Buzo creates without pretense or deceit. It challenges norms and takes the road less traveled, appealing to those who crave out-of-the-box savoir-faire.

Collaborating closely with local farmers and small-scale producers, Buzo shines a spotlight on top-quality artisan ingredients. The restaurant blends the best of locally-grown Italian and Japanese elements, serving them up as inventive, bar-snack-sized bites and main dishes.

The venue itself questions the very nature of “local,” challenging the subtleties between authentic versus available. With adventure as inspiration and traditions as the guide, Buzo dives deep into the unknown to create lasting memories in every dish.

At the capacity of up to 104 seats, patrons can enjoy small bites and sharing plates such as Aged Bonito, Trevally Sashimi and Koji Marinated Strip Loin, or boozy dates with signature cocktails such as Buzo Negroni, Tea Daiquiri and Dio Madre, as well as group catch ups in the bar where in-house crafted beers are specially brewed in collaboration with selected award-winning brewers.

Buzo’s concept, developed by renowned chef and restaurateur Will Meyrick, is rooted in his recent explorations of urban Tokyo and Kyoto where local chefs infuse vibrant Italian influence to Japanese city dwellers through Izakaya dens. Through Buzo, Meyrick aims to push the boundaries of contrasting cuisines and flavors, offering everything from quick island-style pints to arrays of otsumami with an Italian twist.

Join Buzo from 4PM to late on weekdays and 11.30AM to late on weekends, right in the heart of Seminyak and experience a fusion that challenges conventions and celebrates creativity through food, beers and music.

Buzo, ikou!
