Indonesia Crowns First-Ever Red Bull Dance Your Style Champion

The competition was fierce at the Red Bull Dance Your Style Indonesia National Finals, held on July 27 at Anjungan Sarinah, Jakarta Pusat. The intense battle rounds culminated in Red Bull naming 18 years-old locking dancer, Locking Ben, from Tangerang as the first-ever Red Bull Dance Your Style Indonesia National Champion.

The competition, fueled by Red Bull (Blue and Silver), challenged 16 of Indonesia’s top dancers to show off their powerful improvisational skills to random selection of music. True to its popular tagline, “gives you wiiings,” the European energy drink that recently entered the market has awarded Locking Ben with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shine on the global stage as he heads to Mumbai, India.

Locking Ben’s musicality and impeccable precision in hitting every beat to a diverse selection of songs captivated the audience, who served as the competition’s judges. He is now set to compete against the best dance talents from 50 other countries as Indonesia’s exclusive representative at the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Finals.

“I was really excited once I knew that Red Bull Dance Your Style was coming to Indonesia,” said Locking Ben. “I have looked forward to it, and once I was invited to compete, I started preparing so hard.”
