Komunal BPR Fair, Indonesia’s largest deposit exhibition, made a grand return to Central Park Mall, West Jakarta, marking the end of the third quarter of 2024. This event was also held to commemorate National Customer Day, which fell on September 4th.
Following the success of its first event in June 2024, the Komunal BPR Fair once again welcomed depositors from across Indonesia, particularly in the Jabodetabek region. Held over five days from September 25th to 29th at the Atrium Laguna, Central Park Mall, West Jakarta, this year’s fair carried the theme “Strong BPR, Great Indonesia.” This theme was chosen in honor of National Customer Day, celebrated every September 4th.
“This Komunal BPR Fair is a significant event to highlight the role of BPRs in building a strong national economy. The theme ‘Strong BPR, Great Indonesia’ aligns with the spirit of National Customer Day, where we want to appreciate our customers who have supported the growth of the BPR industry. We believe that with stronger BPRs, Indonesia’s economy will also become more robust,” said Peter Jacobs, Commissioner of Komunal.
In its second edition, the Komunal BPR Fair was joined by seven BPR partners from DepositoBPR by Komunal, including: BPR Daya Perdana Nusantara, BPR Nusumma Jatim, BPR Varia Centralartha, BPR Artatama, BPR Suryajaya Kubutambahan, BPR Kirana, and BPR Bank Jombang Perseroda. All participating BPRs had the opportunity to introduce their profiles, discuss various topics related to financial inclusion, and develop strategies for the BPR industry. Each talk show session provided an opportunity for participating BPRs to interact directly with potential depositors and the general public, educating them about the importance of safe and profitable investments through BPR deposit products.
Differing from the previous event, this Komunal BPR Fair also featured Financial Classes with financial experts such as Ken Handersen, founder of Gaterich, and financial content creators Samuel Ray and Doddy Prayogo. Moreover, the Komunal BPR Fair offered cashback promotions of up to millions of rupiah, along with various exclusive merchandise that depositors could take home.
“With the success of the previous Komunal BPR Fair, we hope that this event can attract even more public attention. This time, we want to provide an experience that is not only educational but also enjoyable for visitors and depositors by creating a more festive atmosphere through additional F&B tenants, exclusive talk shows, and various attractive prizes,” said Kendrick Winoto, Co-Founder & CFO of Komunal.
Through the Komunal BPR Fair, DepositoBPR by Komunal is committed to continuously strengthening innovative digital banking services that are easily accessible to all levels of society. Looking ahead to 2025, Komunal plans to expand partnerships with more BPRs across Indonesia while continuing to improve financial education for depositors.
Hendry Lieviant, Co-Founder & CEO of Komunal added, “Looking ahead to 2025, our focus is on expanding access to BPR digitalization to be able to attract more customers, especially in tier 2 and 3 cities. We are also committed to improving financial literacy at various levels of society, as this aligns with our vision to drive more massive financial inclusion growth in Indonesia.”
“…with the spirit of ‘Strong BPR, Great Indonesia,’ we are optimistic that we can contribute to strengthening the national economy,” concluded Hendry.
DepositoBPR by Komunal itself is the first and only marketplace application specifically for BPR deposit products throughout Indonesia. Offering higher interest rates than commercial banks at 6.75% per year, DepositoBPR by Komunal has been recommended by the OJK (Financial Services Authority) in 2024 with number S-272/IK.01/2024.
