Following the successful Labuan Bajo Swim & Run event that was joined by national record-holding athletes and the Lintang Flores ultra-cycling event in March 2024, Ta’aktana, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Labuan Bajo, is set to host an open-water swimming competition titled Limbang Tacik Ta’a 2024, Ta’aktana Open Water Festival on 5th October 2024.
Supported by Marriott International and PT Fortuna Paradiso Optima (FPO), the event will take place at the beach area of Ta’aktana, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Labuan Bajo. The event combines the excitement of open-water swimming competition with the appeal and natural beauty of Labuan Bajo.
Limbang Tacik Ta’a 2024, Ta’aktana Open Water Festival offers 2 categories based on distance which are 2000m and 5000m, the participants to be subdivided by gender and age group ranging from 20 to 60+ year old, with different race number arrangements for the general and athletes category.
Event initiator, Renaldus Iwan Sumarta, the Director of PT Fortuna Paradiso Optima (FPO), anticipate that the competition can encourage all genders and skill levels to take on the challenge with the various options available for competition categories according to their physical abilities, from beginners to professionals.

Race Director of Limbang Tacik Ta’a 2024, Ta’aktana Open Water Festival, Xtoredy, said that the inaugural event spans into two days.
“One day before the event starts, race packs and briefing to be shared by the organizers for the participants at Ta’aktana, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Labuan Bajo. In addition, Course Training sessions are available for participants who want to try the race route and adjust their body to the water conditions in the local sea,” said Xtoredy.
