Rest and recovery is a crucial concept for athletes and active individuals, especially in the context of the fast-paced urban lifestyle. Recognizing the importance of this practice, sports health experts believe it can significantly enhance performance, prevent injuries, and promote overall health and well-being. Rest and recovery refer to periods where the body is given the opportunity to repair, recover, and strengthen itself after physical activity, through various light activities that benefit the body.
Dash Sports, a digital platform connecting sports enthusiasts, clubs, communities, and activities, has collaborated with Park Hyatt Jakarta to host Dash Sports Rest & Recovery, an event dedicated to active urban youth seeking a short break and a temporary escape from their busy training schedules. At the Dash Sports Rest & Recovery event, Dash Sports presents 6 health classes and workshops at one of the best locations with complete wellness facilities at Park Hyatt Menteng.
Dash Sports CEO and founder, Alit Aryaguna, explained that post-workout rest and recovery is an essential part of a fitness routine that is often overlooked. In fact, this process plays a crucial role in helping our bodies recover, grow, and become stronger. The benefits are numerous, from repairing muscle tissue, improving performance, and preventing injuries to cell regeneration and improved mental health.
Alit further stated, “Dash Sports, which has been operating for 4 years this year and actively plays a role in 4 pillars, namely organizing sports events, managing and developing sports clubs and communities, sports lifestyle media and products, is now initiating a special collaboration with Park Hyatt Jakarta to present the Rest & Recovery program.
As the name suggests, “Rest and Recovery,” this program is presented with a variety of wellness facilities from Park Hyatt Jakarta, making it an ideal choice for athletes to take a break and rejuvenate their bodies, so they can continue to be active “Injury Free” in line with the core values of Rest & Recovery, namely Recharge, Rejuvenate, Restore.”
The Dash Sports Rest & Recovery event will be held on November 9, 2024, at The Spa Fitness Park Hyatt Jakarta, featuring 6 classes: Dynamic Dawn Flown with instructor Deti, Energizing Morning Flow with instructor Bella Tanri, Barre Core with Michelle King, Compass Flow with Alyssa Chairiena, and Road to Inversion led by instructor Ilsa Nimpoeno, as well as a Deep Rest Sound Journey class by instructor Deece Dewayani.
Meanwhile, BTN Retail Funding Division Head, Frengky Rosadrian, said, “We are delighted that BTN Prospera can participate in this event as the main sponsor in collaboration with Dash Sports, supporting the spirit of sports for young people. BTN, which has been excelling for 74 years, has held a number of sports events in the last 4 years. For BTN, this step is in line with our motto, “Life is not just about today,” which views health as something very important, in terms of financial health as well as physical health. Rest & Recovery has the same breath and relevance as investing, namely there are times when we move fast, but also times to rest, to stop for a moment. BTN strongly encourages urban youth to have a healthy active lifestyle, including financial health, ready to be a partner that always presents the most up-to-date investment instrument choices.”
Singer, actress, and athlete, Sheryl Sheinafia expressed, “Amidst my busy schedule of singing, acting, and business, it’s very important to have a balanced life. One thing that can bring peace of mind is exercise. I’m currently enjoying running, because it’s simple and just do it. It’s not complicated and I enjoy doing it. Well, from this, I also realized that after exercising, it’s very important to do rest & recovery. I’m so glad to be doing it here at Park Hyatt Jakarta. It’s a pleasant and beneficial downtime experience. The collaboration between Dash Sports and Park Hyatt Jakarta in holding Rest & Recovery is a great offering for young athletes in urban areas. See you on November 9!”
