Aman Wellness in 2025

At Amankora Thimphu, the signature therapies of Dr Dorji Gyeltshen, a local practitioner of traditional Bhutanese medicine, are available in 2025. His therapies, including the Thousand Gold Treatment, will blend acupuncture and holistic techniques to balance the five elements and align the chakras, while also celebrating Bhutan’s ancient healing traditions.

AMANYANGYUN, CHINA

On the outskirts of Shanghai, Amanyangyun will draw upon wellness traditions from the East and West to present its Banya Spa House Programme. A completely private experience, the Banya Spa House will be available for a half-day retreat, incorporating a session in the Banya sauna, followed by invigorating cold plunges and therapeutic scrubs using oak or eucalyptus branches.

The treatment aims not only to revitalise the skin but detoxify the body and strengthen the immune system. The experience can be further personalised with bespoke massages, wraps and facials performed by a dedicated therapist. After the treatments, herbal teas and light refreshments served in the Spa House offer the perfect conclusion to this holistic journey.

AMAN SUMMER PALACE, CHINA

Moments from the historic Summer Palace in Beijing, Aman Summer Palace continues to elevate its wellness offerings in 2025.

The perfect antidote to a day spent exploring, the 90-minute Rejuvenating Herbal Essence Therapy will combine rare herbal essences with invigorating techniques to relieve fatigue, promote vitality and harmonise the body’s energies. Similarly, the Hydrating Radiance Treatment, a 60-minute facial, will deeply nourish the skin to restore its natural glow.

In addition to its spa treatments, the Aman Summer Palace Fitness Centre will expand its programme with comprehensive Pilates programmes designed to improve strength, flexibility and balance. Guided by experts, the sessions will cater to both beginners and experienced guests alike, providing a full-body workout that enhances physical resilience.

ABOUT AMAN

Aman was founded in 1988 with the vision of building a collection of intimate retreats with the unassuming, warm hospitality of a gracious private home. The first, Amanpuri (place of peace), in Phuket, Thailand, introduced the concept and, since then, Aman has grown to encompass 35 exquisitely serene hotels, resorts and branded residences, ranging from the urban to the remote, in 20 destinations across the globe. Aman has a robust pipeline of future projects under construction.

In recent years, Aman Group has grown to offer its coveted lifestyle beyond the parameters of its havens including Aman Skincare (2018), supplement range Sva (2020), Aman Fine Fragrance (2020), ready-to-wear collection The Essentials by Aman (2021), performance skincare line Aman Essential Skin (2023) and Aman Interiors (2023) offering bespoke designed furniture items inspired by the world of Aman.

With innovation a cornerstone of the brand’s philosophy, in 2020 Aman introduced a new hotel brand, Janu – meaning ‘soul’ in Sanskrit. Janu offers a unique take on hospitality where genuine human interaction, playful expression and social wellness are at the core of the experience.

Janu aims to bring balance to the head and heart and rekindle the soul. In March 2024, Janu’s inaugural hotel, Janu Tokyo, opened its doors and several forthcoming Janu hotels are already in development.
