As Chinese New Year 2025 approaches on January 29, the city of Gading Serpong is brimming with festive cheer. Bright red and yellow lanterns adorn every corner of the city, creating an atmosphere of luck and happiness that is characteristic of Lunar New Year traditions.

Beyond decorations, the celebrations are packed with exciting events for locals and visitors alike to enjoy.

A Vibrant Chinatown Atmosphere in Gading Serpong

Vividly colored lanterns now illuminate several areas in Gading Serpong. One standout is the Pasadena Central District, featuring an 80-meter-long lantern installation that creates a dazzling pathway visible from multiple directions.

Other areas, such as Madison Grande, Aniva Grande, and Sorrento Square, are also adorned with ornaments that amplify the Lunar New Year spirit. These decorations, which began on January 20, 2025, will remain for a full month, adding to the festive ambiance.

Celebrating Lunar New Year with Exciting Events

In addition to the captivating decorations, various thrilling events are lined up to welcome Chinese New Year 2025. Oktavianus Ekowibowo, Executive Director of Estate Management at Paramount Land, emphasized Gading Serpong’s commitment to providing the best experiences for visitors.

“We aim to deliver the best for the community. This year, besides decorating the area with lanterns, we are hosting exciting events such as Street Barongsai and Wushu Performances for everyone to enjoy,” Oktavianus shared.

On January 24, visitors can enjoy Barongsai performances at Pisa Grande and Aniva Grande, followed by another on January 25 at Maggiore Junction.

A Wushu Performance is scheduled for January 28 at Pisa Grande. For Lunar New Year enthusiasts, the Cap Go Meh festival, taking place on February 7-8, 2025, will serve as the highlight of the celebrations, featuring cultural attractions and traditional culinary delights.
