Centara Hotels & Resorts, Thailand’s leading hotel operator, is embarking on a transformative year in 2025. With nine new hotels & resorts, major renovations at flagship properties, and the launch of a new loyalty app, Centara is reinforcing its global presence. This year also marks the group’s expansion into Indonesia and Nepal, broadening its international reach.
Global Expansion: Entering Indonesia and Nepal
As part of its long-term growth strategy, Centara will enter the Indonesian and Nepalese markets for the first time. The company will open Annapurna Mountain Resort in Nepal and an exclusive Centara Collection resort in Bali, Indonesia. This expansion represents a significant milestone in Centara’s efforts to attract global travelers.
Additionally, Centara is strengthening its presence in Vietnam with two new hotels: Centara Hotel & Residences Van Don and Crystal Holidays Harbour Van Don, offering a total of 977 rooms.
In Thailand, Centara will open Centara Life Wisma Hotel Ratchaburi in March 2025. By the end of the year, three more hotels will start welcoming guests: Centara Villas Phi Phi Island, Saree Samui (part of The Centara Collection), and Centara Life Hotel Surat Thani.
Transforming Iconic Thai Resorts
Following major renovations at Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya and Centara Karon Resort Phuket in 2024, Centara is set to revamp two more flagship properties:
- Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin – This heritage resort will undergo a phased transformation while preserving its colonial charm. A new collection of 70 exclusive villas will be introduced under The Centara Collection. A separate 200-room Centara Life hotel will also be built, increasing Centara’s beachfront capacity in Hua Hin to nearly 500 rooms.
- Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Krabi – Nestled in a private bay overlooking the Andaman Sea, this resort will undergo a total makeover and rebrand as Centara Reserve Krabi, making it the second property under the Centara Reserve luxury brand.
Digital Innovation: Loyalty App & AI Chatbot
To enhance guest experience, Centara will launch a new loyalty-focused mobile app in the first half of 2025, offering seamless reservations and exclusive benefits.
Additionally, an AI-powered chatbot will enable direct bookings via messaging platforms like WhatsApp and social media, streamlining customer interactions.
Sustainability Commitment: Net Zero Emissions by 2050
Centara is committed to sustainability with ambitious goals, including:
✅ 40% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption
✅ 20% reduction in water usage by 2029
✅ Net zero emissions by 2050
With these innovations and expansions, Centara expects 23% revenue growth in 2025, with a goal of reaching THB 20 billion (USD 600 million) by 2027, solidifying its position as one of the world’s top 100 hotel groups.
