Starbucks #JumatBerkah: Spreading Kindness During the Holy Month

The holy month of Ramadan is a time of togetherness and generosity. To celebrate this special occasion, Starbucks Indonesia has launched the #JumatBerkah initiative, distributing free takjil in the form of Iced Shaken Mango Passion Fruit and Hibiscus Tea drinks to customers and communities around its stores every Friday throughout March 2025.

Liryawati, Chief Operating Officer of PT Sari Coffee Indonesia, emphasized Starbucks’ commitment to making a positive impact. “From the beginning, Starbucks has been about more than just coffee. We are a people-first company, dedicated to building meaningful connections with the communities we serve,” she said.

This initiative is being carried out in strategic store locations, such as near places of worship and shopping centers, ensuring that those fasting can conveniently enjoy their takjil. With over 65,000 cups of drinks distributed throughout the month, Starbucks hopes to bring joy and blessings to many people.

Beyond this initiative, Starbucks also continues to strengthen its support for communities through the Starbucks Community Store Tata Puri in Jakarta, dedicated to the Deaf and those who communicate using Sign Language. Moreover, this year, Starbucks plans to expand its efforts by opening Starbucks Signing Stores in Central Java, further reinforcing its commitment to empowering communities.

Through the spirit of giving and togetherness, Starbucks Indonesia invites everyone to experience the joy of Ramadan with the #JumatBerkah program.
