Dubai has emerged as one of the top holiday destinations for families, with theme parks, beaches, brunches and more to keep everyone happy. Dubai has welcomed more than 14.24 million overnight global tourists in 2017, and Indonesian celebrities were also spotted enjoying family holiday there.
Celebrity Nikita Willy just spent her end of year holiday in Dubai and indulged in retail therapy with her big family. Check out her favorite haunts of visiting celebrity and be inspired for your next holiday planning to Dubai.
Aquatic Fun at Aquaventure Waterpark
Aquaventure is one of Dubai’s most thrilling waterparks. The park featured four thrilling slides – each wrapped around the new Tower of Poseidon pyramid – and the Middle Easts longest zip line circuit. However, you can still dive into old favourites like the Leap of Faith, a 27.5-metre plunge that carries you through a clear tube surrounded by sharks and rays. Although children need to be taller than 1.2 metres to enjoy many of the parks slides, little ones will delight in the Splashers Children’s Play Area – a maze of kid-friendly tunnels, tubes, slides and climbing frames.
If you’re not looking for high-speed action, amble along the Lazy River that stretches for more than a mile through the park. And if you’re looking for your own patch of sand, check out Atlantis Beach. “I am glad that I am finally here! This is the best place to start your days in Dubai!” Nikita said.
Dune Bashing with Desert Safari Dubai
Desert Safari Dubai specializes in tours of the vast and spectacular desert in the UAE. Sit at the top of a dune to catch the stunning orange sunset and take a few moments to collect your thoughts, before returning to the car to bounce up and down dunes with exhilarating speed. The tours end in a Bedouin village, with camel rides, traditional clothes to try on, and live entertainment, such as belly dance, falcon show and fire dance.
There are a lot of operator that provide Desert Safari experience in Dubai, including Orient Tours, Arabian Adventure and Platinum Heritage. Each Desert Safari experience will take around 4-6 hours, where a 4WD car will pick you and your family in your hotel lobby. Trip to Dubai Desert will take around 45-60 minutes from Dubai Downtown. Be sure to bring a scarf or light jacket, as the temperature in desert during winter time can be chilly.
Retail Therapy in Mall of The Emirates and The Beach
People say Do Buy in Dubai! While there are lots of shopping option, Mall of The Emirates and The Beach are the 2 most favorite shopping places in Dubai, which Nikita Willy has visited. Considered the world’s first shopping resort, Mall of the Emirates boasts more than 560 international shops selling lifestyle, fashion, sports, electronics and home furnishing products. The mall is also home to a breathtaking array of family-friendly offerings like Ski Dubai (the first ski resort and snow park in the Middle East) and more than 90 dining and cafe options. Located at interchange four on Sheikh Zayed Road, the mall adjoins two five-star hotels, Kempinski Mall of the Emirates and Sheraton Dubai Mall of the Emirates Hotel.
For an outdoor retail experience, try to visit the all-time favorite, The Beach. Find a blend of indoor and outdoor activities at the beach. The Beach at JBR is an outdoor complex of shops, cafes, restaurants and public facilities, situated right on the beach. Cafes and restaurants have al fresco terraces overlooking the white sand and blue sea. There’s also an enormous outdoor cinema screen facing the beach. Kids can splash in the park and play areas, while adults can use the running track and outdoor gym equipment, not to mention everyone can enjoy the JBR public beach with changing rooms and facilities. “I have never seen a gorgeous place like The Beach before. Dubai will always be a wonderful place to shop and stay!” Nikita said.
