Singapore Prudential Marina Bay Carnival Opens, 22 December 2018.
Calling all thrill seekers and adventure lovers, you are in for a crazy time! With over three million dollars’ worth of plushies from animated hit series, a Grand Lucky Draw cash prize of S$10,000 and more Bonus Credits to be won, the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival returns with the best bang for your buck.
The largest Carnival in Singapore officially opened its doors to public today with the debut of its brand new centre piece – the Wave Swinger. Flown in from Italy for its first time in Southeast Asia, the family-friendly thrill ride incorporates mural paintings of iconic landmarks such as Gardens by the Bay and Marina Bay Sands. The ride is one among the three new rides to join the repertoire today, which includes Freak Out and Jumper Jumper.
The Carnival is situated at the Bayfront Event Space and spans across four football fields (or 23,000 square metres) with 50 rides and games from countries all around the world. It will also progressively roll out its monthly themes ‘Crazy’, ‘Loving’ and ‘Epic’, inviting all visitors to build lifelong memories together.
“It is heartening to see a large group of Singaporeans and tourists bonding together and making special memories with us on the opening day of Singapore’s Largest Carnival. With the second edition, we want friends and families to carry on the time-held tradition and holiday spirit across the festive season and the coming months,” Mr Barnabas Chia, Lead of the Organising Team behind the Carnival shared.
All Fun and Games
Kickstarting the festivities with the first theme ‘Make Crazy Memories’, this vibrant playground will also feature an array of entertaining programmes and promotions such as food challenges, themed dress contests and more. Moreover, the Carnival will set the stage for local music acts to perform, championing the support and love for home-grown talents such as Among Four, Daniel Sid and DJ Gainzter. Visitors can keep their eyes peeled for a roving Chewbacca Santa, Festive Open Mic Nights, interactive workshops for all ages and more!
Stand a chance to win Bonus Credits at the Carnival simply by dressing to the theme each month, making your mark on the billboard of crazy scorers, and more. Leading with its first themed dress contest “Future-Forward”, the first 150 visitors dressed most in line to our theme will receive 10 Bonus Credits on 29 December 2018.
Spreading Cheer to the Community
Prudential Singapore, title sponsor of the Prudential Marina Bay Carnival, hosted over 100 children, elderly and their families from The Business Times Budding Artists Fund and the Ang Mo Kio Family Services Centre as part of a special preview of the carnival today.
Yeoh El Lynn, Head, Community Investment, Prudential Singapore, said the insurer was excited to host its community partners and spread holiday cheer through the carnival’s fun activities. “The Prudential Marina Bay Carnival is an ideal platform for us to bring people together through games and play, and celebrate friendships and relationships,” said Ms. Yeoh.
Prudential Marina Bay Carnival will open from now till 24 March 2019, from 4:00pm to 11:00pm, with extended hours till 2:00am exclusively on New Year’s Eve (31 Dec 2018). Admission is free for all, and credits for rides and games can be purchased onsite and online via Marina Bay Carnival
