Hail the new year with a wonderful array of festivities at the magical Uluwatu resort
After a challenging period of time, friends and families can finally embrace the magic of the holiday season once again. Keeping this in mind, the opulent Uluwatu Resort Karma Kandara returns with its much-anticipated ‘12 Days of Karma’ festivities. The celebration will kick off from December 23 to January 3 with a mélange of seasonal activities, gastronomy fares and dashing parties, catering to both young and old, for over 12 wonderful days filled with love, happiness and laughter.
Culinary Diaries
In ode to the festive season, the luxurious resort has prepared a list of scrumptious fares that will surely whet your appetite. On Christmas Eve, indulge in a fantastic three-course dinner over at Karma Beach Bali, while come December 27 a special “Indonesian Archipelago” dish will be available that pays homage to the nation’s rich culture and history. Don’t forget to take your family for a special barbecue on the beach on December 28.
Before we say goodbye to 2021, guests will be treated to two very special gastronomical affairs. On December 29, Karma Beach Bali will invite a special celebrity chef to cook up a unique all-day special menu that will run from 12am till end. Next, prepare to usher in the New Year with a special ‘Barefoot Luxury New Year’s Eve Dinner’ available on December 31.
The culinary adventure continues on January 2 with nautical-themed menus served at Karma Beach with choices ranging from a la carte, canapes to the Mediterranean fish en papillote.
R for Rejuvenation
There’s no better way to welcome the New Year than a deep sense of relaxation. The Karma Spa has put together a bounty of spa offerings for you and your loved ones to enjoy. Head over to the Ocean Spa for the much-needed Siesta Time reflexology, facial treatment and Coconut Blessing Ritual. Meanwhile, experience a 30-minute magnesium warm salt scrub, full body massage and infrared sauna over at the Cliff Spa. Last but not least, align your body, spirit and mind with the one-and-only ‘Merry Christmas Vinyasa Flow’ session on December 25.
Children’s Play
As an ideal family destination, Karma Kandara always think of new and creative ways to occupy the little ones over at the Three Monkeys Kids Club. From Christmas T-shirt painting, scavenger hunt to meeting up with Santa at the beach on Christmas Day—there is no shortage of fun activities for your little angels.

As the hub of live music and nightlife, Karma Beach Bali has amped up its entertainment dose by hosting daily parties with rosters of resident and international DJs, including DJ Suzzane El and DJ Evie. But, of course, there’s no holiday season without some exquisite seasonal drinks. On Christmas Day, head over to Karma Beach to take a sip (or two) of Christmas Cocktails while gazing out on the breathtaking sunset view.
This year’s Harvest Sunday returns on December 26, taking place from 11am till late, with Happy Hours hosted from 6 to 9pm. The dazzling day will also see a special Sunset Beach Bonfire that’s not to be missed!
Rocking Events
Start out your holiday sojourn with a joyous Christmas tree lighting ceremony on December 23 and partake in some of the finest cocktails next at Karma Beach. Prepare for the year-end party on December 31 where a special DJ will turn up the heat so you can dance the night away to the New Year.
If you’re in the mood to spend a day in the sun then don’t miss out on the adrenaline-rush Karma Cup competition. Taking place on December 28, a full day of beach volleyball, stand up paddleboard fun and more will be held along the pristine shoreline of Karma Beach.
The first few days of 2022 will see two extraordinary parties. On January 1, a special Karma-style Día de los Muertos festival will be held at the Karma Beach and boasts an authentic Mexican vibe, fun and flair. Elsewhere, deck out in leather, fur or feather for the Burning Beach-themed party on January 3. The last event of the festivity will feature awesome lighting installations, fire dance performances, giant burning statues and a banger closing party in courtesy of the talented resident DJs.
