More than 280 staff from 60 properties took part in Ascott Berbagi, supporting families in need.
CapitaLand Investment Limited’s wholly owned lodging business unit, The Ascott Limited (Ascott), celebrated the month of Ramadan through its Ascott Berbagi programme. More than 280 staff from Ascott’s network of 60 lodging properties across 15 cities in Indonesia distributed takjil boxes containing food and drinks to families living in low-income urban areas, orphanages, and becak communities, providing meals for iftar at the end of the day. The takjil boxes are made by restaurants from Ascott’s lodging properties.
Mr Philip Lim, Ascott’s Country General Manager for Indonesia, said: “As a responsible lodging company, Ascott has been giving back to the community over the 25 years since we started operations in Indonesia. Ascott Berbagi is a signature corporate social responsibility activity we conduct every year during Ramadan. More than 60 of our serviced residence and hotels across 15 major cities in Indonesia, including Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Semarang, Bali, Batam, and other cities, participated in Ascott Berbagi this year.”

Ascott has stepped up our efforts to rally-out staff to reach out to more families through Ascott Berbagi this year.
