The future of progressive design and comfort arrives in the form of an all-new Converse silhouette
Converse and A-Cold-Wall continue their partnership, this time with the debut of the Aeon Active CX, an all-new silhouette that applies Samuel Ross’ aesthetic and Converse’s innovative CX comfort technology to deliver a shoe that breaks convention.
The conceptual vision of Samuel Ross, A-Cold-Wall reflects the London subculture and hegemonic disparities through an atypical contemporary lens. Through avant-garde fashion and installations, A-Cold-Wall highlights the competing forces of class and environment in the landscape. The urban experience of Britain’s working class is woven into the brand’s DNA—embodied in every piece.
Fueled by Converse’s CX toolkit of pinnacle comfort materials and technologies, the Aeon Active CX defies time and gives back energy through a precise exploration of ergonomics that deliver new comfort, form, breathability and stance. When concepting the new silhouette, designers gravitated to the running space – which has long been a source for comfort standards in the industry – to deliver a distinctly Converse take on a lifestyle runner.
Suede and leather overlays with rounded lines integrate classic Converse DNA into the Aeon Active CX’s avant-garde design. By utilizing a bold color combination, subversive graphic language, and a translucent outsole, Samuel Ross applies his trademark aesthetic to this new silhouette.
The low-top silhouette is structured around Converse’s premium CX comfort technology and an innovative upper construction. An elastic stretch bootie and combo mesh upper provide breathability and fit, and they, combined with an exaggerated heel kick and TPU heel wedge pave way for a seamless on and off.
CX foam in the underfoot and a Crater foam midsole, comprised of about 12 percent recycled scraps from the factory floor, ensure incredibly lightweight and sustainable all-day comfort.
