3 Young Talented Chefs are awarded with Prestigious France Pastry Training from Elle & Vire Professionnel®’s #ToneofINDONESIA Plated Dessert Competition
The debut dessert competition organized by Elle & Vire Professionnel® under Savencia Fromage & Dairy has attracted 152 Under 30s young Chefs across Indonesia. The competition focuses on “The Values We Share” with #ToneofINDONESIA depicting the values of Taste, Origin, Nature & Excellence of Indonesian cuisine; with the prerequisite of having participants submit an original recipe of Indonesian-inspired sweet dish made using Elle & Vire Professionnel® Excellence Whipping Cream, Butter and 1 other product from the brand range.
12 finalists from top Culinary/Pastry schools in Indonesia out of the 152 competing digital entries with the best techniques and recipes were selected by Chef Nicolas Boussin, Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF) Pâtissier 2000 and Executive Pastry Chef of Maison De L’excellence Savencia, and Chef Ucu Sawitri, Professional Chef & Coach of Catering Academy Indonesia.
Held on 25th February 2023 at Arkamaya Indonesian Creative Culinary Education, the 12 finalists competed over prizes worth millions of Rupiah including an opportunity to train under La Maison de l’Excellence Savencia®, the company’s center dedicated to excellence in sharing knowledge and teaching and is open to both French and International professionals.
After an intense competition amongst the 12 finalists, the judging panel consisting of four renowned chefs- Gilles Marx, Chef Founder of Amuz Gourmet Group; Sacha Lefebvre, Chef and Co-founder of Paris Sorbet Jakarta; Ucu Sawitri, Professional Chef & Coach of Catering Academy; and Gunawan Wu, Indonesian celebrity chef from Australia have crowned Christian Dewabrata S., Andreas Caecario Anandora W., and Odetha Kenan as The Values We Share #ToneofINDONESIA Challenge’s top three winners respectively.
