DFS Group, the world’s leading luxury travel retailer, is excited to announce the grand opening of DFS Lombok Airport on June 27, 2024. Situated in the Departure Terminal of Lombok International Airport, DFS Lombok Airport, as the largest retail space within the airport, serves as a bridge between travelers and the inimitable artisanship characteristic of Indonesia’s iconic homegrown brands.
DFS Lombok Airport houses 23 homegrown Indonesian brands within three distinct shops, all featuring considered interior design that draws inspiration from Lombok’s artisanal heritage. The Fashion Shop, displaying a unique diamond-esque facade and woven ornaments that pay homage to the shape of traditional Lombok houses, showcases a thoughtfully curated selection of Indonesian brands such as, Pithecanthropus and Biasa.
The Gift Shop and Travel Accessories Shop combines usage of bamboo, local weaving techniques and traditional Lombok fabrics called “tenun” to create an elevated back-to-nature feeling while oering a wide array of unique gifts, souvenirs and travel essentials featuring the traditional fabric brand Ana Tenun Sukarara, local snack brands like Nutsafir and spa brand Herborist.
The fusion of a distinctly Lombok spatial experience and local merchandising gives DFS Lombok Airport an incredible sense of place, ensuring its charm as a culturally immersive shopping destination.
