Following the success of their first collaboration in December 2024 at Saltlick in Seminyak, Chef Nic Vanderbeeken and Chef Jeremy Hunt are reuniting for another extraordinary culinary experience. This time, Apéritif Restaurant in Ubud will host a special Kitchen Takeover, bringing together bold flavors, refined techniques, and the creative synergy of two renowned chefs.
Chef Nic, the visionary behind Apéritif, is known for his progressive approach to global cuisine, seamlessly blending modern European techniques with Indonesian flavors and influences from around the world. His innovative dishes, shaped by years of experience in Bali and beyond, have earned him widespread acclaim.
Meanwhile, Chef Jeremy, known for his deep-rooted farm-to-table philosophy, draws inspiration from his South African heritage and global culinary explorations. His expertise in butchery and seasonal ingredients has shaped Saltlick into a destination for vibrant, ingredient-driven cuisine.
This special collaboration will feature a meticulously crafted seven-course tasting menu, showcasing the signature styles of both chefs while highlighting exceptional produce and bold flavors. Guests can expect a night of dynamic tastes, creative pairings, and an elevated dining experience that reflects the synergy between Apéritif and Saltlick.
To kick off the evening, Ku De Ta will take over Apéritif’s stunning Pinstripe Bar from 5 PM onwards, bringing their signature flair and expertly crafted cocktails to Ubud. offering an elevated cocktail experience to complement the culinary journey.
This one-of-a-kind takeover offers a refined cocktail experience, with drinks expertly mixed byPanji Wisrawan and Leo Gunawan. Leo, Ku De Ta’s Bar Manager, has been shaping its cocktail menu since 2012, curating signature creations, modern twists, and timeless classics inspired by Bali’s vibrant produce.
Meanwhile, Panji, Head Mixologist and winner of the Campari Bartender Competition2019, brings over a decade of experience in crafting innovative cocktail menus and engaging guest experiences. Guests are invited to start their evening with a perfectly balanced drink before immersing themselves in this remarkable dining experience.
