In the spirit of sustainability and environmental conservation, Ta’aktana, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Labuan Bajo, proudly presents a meaningful Earth Hour 2025 celebration. On March 22, guests are invited to take part in a thoughtfully curated program designed to raise awareness about nature conservation, cultural heritage, and sustainable living.
Surrounded by breathtaking seascapes and unspoiled natural beauty, Earth Hour at Ta’aktana is more than just switching off the lights for an hour. It is an immersive journey featuring inspiring activities that strengthen the connection between people, nature, and local traditions.
A Day of Impactful Activities
Bersih Bajo – Chapter 5 (6:00 – 8:00 AM)
The day begins with a coastal clean-up at Ta’aktana Beach, where guests can contribute to preserving Labuan Bajo’s pristine shoreline. This initiative highlights the importance of collective efforts in maintaining the region’s natural beauty.
Tree Heroes (9:00 – 10:30 AM)
Planting a tree is not just an act of ceremony—it’s a commitment to biodiversity. At Kebunku, participants will plant native trees that play a crucial role in sustaining the local ecosystem.
Marine Talk – Guardians of the Ocean (2:00 – 3:30 PM)
The ocean is the lifeblood of Labuan Bajo. This exclusive Marine Talk at Toda Larik will feature marine specialists discussing the significance of ocean conservation. Guests will also be introduced to the newly launched Clownfish Garden, a project dedicated to protecting coral reefs and marine life.
Art for the Earth (4:00 – 5:00 PM)
Young guests are invited to express their creativity in an eco-themed painting session at the Kids Club. This hands-on activity fosters a love for nature through art and inspires children to become future environmental advocates.
Glow That Lasts – Lantern Paradise (6:30 – 7:30 PM)
As the sun sets, guests will take part in a lantern-lighting tribute at the Pink Stairs to the Amphitheater. This symbolic event reflects the harmony between Manggarai’s cultural heritage and environmental sustainability.

60+ Earth Hour – A Collective Commitment (7:00 PM)
The highlight of the day will be Ta’aktana’s participation in the global Earth Hour movement, where non-essential lights will be switched off for one hour. This moment serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of sustainable practices and the impact of collective action in protecting our planet.
